Griffin wins track championship.
Warren Central High School track and field runner Joshua Griffin won the Class 6A state championship in the 300 meter hurdles.
Griffin finished with a time of 39.85 seconds and was able to take home the first-place medal after years of hard work.
“Still in disbelief,” Griffin said. “There were a lot of fast guys there but I feel like my drive and determination paid off. “All thanks to the man above,” he added.
Griffins’s dedication to his team and personal work ethic all contributed to the young athlete’s success. He is well coached by Corey Wilson who has watched him bloom into a talented runner.
Griffin now gets to finish final year at WC as a state champion as he will soon attend Southern University on a football scholarship.
