Gulfport woman robs Dollar General, goes back for cellphone

GULFPORT, Miss. (VDN) — On May 12, 2025, the Gulfport Police Department arrested a Gulfport woman, and charged her with one count of Armed Robbery.

On May 11, 2025, at approximately 9:32 p.m., officers with the Gulfport Police Department responded to 12600 Dedeaux Road in reference to an armed robbery.

During the investigation, it was discovered that 34-year-old Jessinya Faye Ezell of Gulfport, Mississippi entered the business, brandished a firearm, and demanded money. The Gulfport woman became involved in a physical altercation with an employee before fleeing the business with an undisclosed amount of currency.

While officers were still on scene, Ezell returned to the business to inquire about a cellphone she dropped during the robbery. She was subsequently identified as the suspect of the armed robbery and taken into custody.

Ezell was processed and transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center, where she is being held on a $100,000 bond.
