Hannah Embry named as PRCC’s softball team MVP

Vicksburg native and former Porter’s Chapel Academy softball player Hannah Embryhas been named as Pearl River Community College softball Most Valuable Player.

Embry, the freshman pitcher, recent led PRCC to a  27-15 record as she dominated all season for the Wildcats. She finished the season pitching a total of 118 innings and throwing 143 strikeouts.

Embry was coached by Christie Meeks this season who trusted her keep the team on top in most of their competitions. She recently had one of her best games where she threw 10 strikeouts against Copiah-Lincoln Community College.

Embry is a 2020 graduate of Porter’s Chapel Academy where she finished her high school career being coached by Chandler Ellis Upton.

Embry’s first collegiate year has been nothing but a success as she continued to be a great student-athlete who is dedicated to her team.
