Harold Ernest “Little Bud” Cogan, 1937 – 2023

Harold Ernest “Little Bud” Cogan passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023. He was 85 years old. He was born in Vicksburg, MS on August 24, 1937. He loved fishing, hunting, being outdoors, Chuck Norris, John Wayne and Audie Murphy. He was a family man. He cherished his grandson. They would play Nintendo together for hours. Blazing Saddles was one of his favorite movies.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Cogan; parents, Robert Wayne and Clara Bliss Cogan; son, Danny Allen Cogan and Carl Melvin Cogan; sister, Joyce Pellegrine; brother, CJ Cogan and grandson, Christopher Ryan Boykin.

He is survived by his daughters, Joyce Dotson (Mark) and Sharon Durden (Larry); grandsons, Tommy Boykin (Lauren) and David Allen Boykin; great-grandchildren, Skylar Brown, Sunny Boykin, Illiana Ontiveros, Mariana Ontiveros and Adriana Ontiveros.

Pallbearers will be Glen Tucker, Ward Clemings, Michael Cogan, Jim Bo Cogan, Larry Durden, James Stephens, James and Archard. Honorary pallbearers will be Lee Dotson, Mark, Carrick and Josh Floyd.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, July 24, 2023, at Glenwood Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Cresswell officiating the service. Visitation will be 9:00 A.M. till the hour of the service. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery.
