Harper back on the job as Warren County prosecutor

After resigning from his post Monday, Warren County Prosecutor Ken Harper is back on the job Thursday.

Harper indicated that after his resignation, he had several conversations that cleared the air and allowed him to reverse his decision.

“By this letter I am hereby withdrawing and rescinding the letter of resignation which I submitted to you on September 14, 2020,” he wrote in a brief letter to the Warren County Board of Supervisors dated Thursday. “I regret any disruption and confusion I might have caused.”

“I acted in haste,” Harper said when reached for a comment. “I’ve had some conversations with some people I should have had before I took the action I did. If I had, the whole episode wouldn’t have happened. It was just basically my fault. I should have talked to some people before I did it instead of after.”
