Has anyone seen the ‘Big Lady’ lately?

For many years, a very large woman served as a piece of yard art in the 3000 block of Highway 80. The “Big Lady” became a reference point for travelers.

She was believed to have belonged to the Jones family who operated an automobile repair shop on the property that she stood on. Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace and VDN’s Tommy Parker have compared their collective mental notes and to the best of their recollection, she originally was moved from the Lamar T. Loe body shop to that location.

Following the death of “Bo” Jones, who was tragically killed after he was struck by a car after getting out to assist a motorist, the big lady disappeared. Rumor has it, she is in a junkyard somewhere in South Mississippi.

But it still begs the question, do you remember the “Big Lady” and have you seen her lately??
