Warren County woman killed in head-on collision on Highway 61 that claimed three lives near Panther Burn

Three people are dead after a violent head-on collision on Highway 61 near Panther Burn, north of Rolling Fork.

Just after 11 p.m., two vehicles collided in a head-on crash and caught fire on Highway 61 near Panther Burn, north of Anguilla and Rolling Fork.

According to Sharkey County Investigator Herbert Ceaser, “We don’t really know exactly what caused the accident, but it was a head-on collision between two cars. Three people died.”

One of the fatalities was from Warren County, and the other two were from Washington County, according to Ceaser.

No names have been released at this time. The Vicksburg Daily News will update this story as more information becomes available.
