Helen Burks of Shelter Insurance presents $1,000 donation to Storehouse Food Pantry

Helen Burks presented the Storehouse Food Pantry in Vicksburg with a donation of $1,000 Monday.

Burks, an agent with Shelter Insurance, said the company has a foundation for charitable giving. Each agent was asked to select a local group to receive a donation. Burks said she chose the food pantry based on its history of good works in the community. She hopes that others will follow suit and make a donation as well.

“Her gift means a lot to us,” said Storehouse President Bill Mounger. “Cash donations allow us to purchase much needed items especially in the critical times when people need our help more than ever.”
