“Help me”: Woman rescued from kidnapper after mouthing ‘help me’ to officer

A man is facing kidnapping charges after an officer noticed a woman mouthing “help me” during a traffic stop in Natchez on Thursday.

According to a report by WLBT, authorities state a BOLO (Be On The Lookout) was issued for a silver Lexus. Witnesses stated a woman whispered to them to call the police before being forced into a vehicle by a man.

Officer Kerrie Huff spotted the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. Upon noticing the woman mouthing “help me”, she was immediately pulled from the vehicle and the driver detained.

The driver, identified as Cartrelle Frye, 22, was taken to the Natchez Police Department where he was interviewed and booked into jail on kidnapping charges.
