High Speed Chase Suspect Captured

The suspect involved in a high-speed chase involving multiple law enforcement agencies in two states has crashed. Kenara McDavid, 33, was wanted for prescription forgery and assaulting a police officer.

The chase began in Madison County, Mississippi and quickly turned into a high speed chase on west bound Interstate 20 in Hinds and Warren Counties. It crossed the Mississippi River bridge into Louisiana where the lead was taken by Madison Parish law enforcement officers. McDavid then took the Mound exit and headed east back toward Mississippi.

He wrecked his vehicle near mile marker 185 on I-20, and was apprehended at that point.

McDavid received minor injuries in the crash. He was transported to the hospital for observation and has been released. He has since been transported to the Madison Parish jail.

McDavid will be charged with a numerous violations including felony fleeing and two counts of attacking police officers in Madison Parish.
