Highway 3 closure delayed

The anticipated closure of U.S. Highway 3 south of Yazoo City has been delayed until further notice.

The closure was originally scheduled with to coincide with the replacement of the railroad crossing that intersects the highway, conducted by the Mississippi Department of Transportation and the CN Railroad.

According to Yazoo County Emergency Management Director Jack Willingham, no new dates have been established for the project at this time.
