Hinds CC softball set to hold prospect showcase

RAYMOND – The Hinds Community College softball program is set to host a fall prospect showcase on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Rene T. Warren Field on the Raymond Campus.

The showcase is open to players ranging from grades nine through twelve, who are looking to display their talents in front of the entire Hinds softball coaching staff. At the showcase, participants will be evaluated on their base running times, arm strength, batting exit velocity, defensive ability, pitching and catching.

The showcase will begin at 9 a.m. and run until completion. Check-in/registration will begin at 8 a.m. the morning of the showcase (Aug. 14).

In addition to your registration, download the 2021 Softball Showcase Waiver (PDF). Make sure to bring the form to the showcase. The form must include a parent’s signature.

The cost of the showcase is $40, which can be paid at check-in. Only cash or checks will be accepted. Checks can be made out to Hinds CC Softball.

Participants will need to bring their own equipment along with an up-to-date physical.
