Hinds County collision injures MHP officer and driver

A collision on a Hinds County road resulted in injuries for a Mississippi Highway Patrol officer and another driver.

According to a report by WLBT, the incident occurred on Thursday morning and was responded to by the highway patrol.

According to reports, an MHP vehicle was headed south when it collided with a 2019 Nissan Versa that was traveling east at the intersection on Raymond Road.

The two drivers were transported to the University of Mississippi Medical Center with injuries sustained from the crash. The extent of their injuries is currently unknown.

The accident is under investigation, and details about the cause of the collision have not been released at this time.
