As the meeting went on, Archie became more disruptive and began damaging property. Sheriff deputies had to place him under arrest.
“Put your hands on me,” Archie said as the deputies stood behind him (reported by WAPT). “I’m in my seat. I’m an elected official. I’m talking about issues that represent this county and I have that right.”
“I want to make sure Marshand Crisler advised his deputies to come into the courtroom to arrest me for freedom of speech,” Archie said.
Archie currently represents District 2 of Hinds County.
