Hit the Bricks and Adjoining Streets

VICKSBURG, MS – Hit the Bricks returns Thursday, October 24, 2024, providing extended business hours for downtown businesses. This year, the annual event’s theme is “Hit the Bricks and Adjoining Streets.”

For anyone dressed up in their Halloween costume, merchants will be giving special discounts for adults who come dressed in costume.

Evan Brister will perform at Crawford Square in between Peterson’s and The Cinnamon Tree.

“This is an evening of special business hours, dining, shopping, live music by Evan Brister, and visiting with some of your favorite downtown small business owners. Want a special in-store discount? Merchants will be giving special discounts for adults who come dressed up in their Halloween costumes. Come see all that downtown has to offer!” said Kim Hopkins, Main Street Executive Director.

Hit the Bricks and Adjoining Streets will be held in downtown Vicksburg from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Main Street America recently named Vicksburg Main Street as a 2025 Great American Main Street Award (GAMSA) Semifinalist.

“Vicksburg Main Street’s downtown revitalization efforts over the past 40 years serve as an inspiring example of what communities can achieve when they come together with vision, determination, and long-term commitment to the Main Street Approach,” said Hopkins. “We are so excited for the opportunity to showcase our spectacular downtown and the investment the community has put into making it a bustling district.”
