Home on Washington Street damaged in early Christmas morning blaze

A Washington Street home caught fire at around 2 a.m. on Christmas Day.

According to Vicksburg Fire Chief Craig Danczyk, a home at 2510 Washington Street became heavily involved causing the roof to collapse.  Firefighters were unable to save the home and instead focused their efforts to prevent damage to surrounding buildings.

Battalion 1 Tim Love responded to the scene along with Engines 6 and 7, Ladder 14, Ambulance 40 and Rescue.
