House of Peace Worship Church International assembled on Friday to send needed supplies to the victims of Hurricane Ida.

A total of 19 pallets of supplies were loaded into a cargo trailer to be delivered to New Orleans to aid in relief efforts for hurricane victims.

“We have 19 pallets aboard this big truck,” stated Apostle Linda Sweezer. “That’s major in such a short period of time.”

The church is currently not accepting food items but are accepting monetary donations to help with costs and equipment rental fees once in New Orleans.

“At this time we are not accepting food products but we are accepting monetary donations,” stated Sweezer. “When we get on the other side of New Orleans, we’ve got some equipment that we will be renting there – some other things that we will do.”

Photos and videos during the journey will be posted by the organization.
