House Speaker Philip Gunn has been diagnosed with COVID-19 along with several other members of the Mississippi House of Representatives.

In a live Facebook update posted Sunday, Gunn said he was in close proximity to another House member who has tested positive for the virus. Last week, state Rep. Bo Brown of Jackson revealed he had tested positive, but it’s not clear if Brown was the person Gunn was referring to.

The Mississippi State Department of Health is investigating an outbreak at the state Capitol among lawmakers, WLBT reports. How many legislators have tested positive is not known.

In his update, Gunn said he feels fine and doesn’t have very many symptoms. He is following the instructions of State Health Officer Dr. Thomas Dobbs and will self-quarantine for the requisite 14 days.

All House members have been warned to get tested and to quarantine as well, according to WLBT.
