Hughes out as Vicksburg High looks for new football coach
Vicksburg High School is in search of a new head football coach with Tim Hughes’ departure.
Hughes was head coach of the Gators for two seasons finishing last year with a 3-8 record. Hughes became head coach after former coach Lorenzo Breland was fired from VHS.
Hughes has a coaching record of 6-15 as VHS head coach, and Vickburg High is now searching for his replacement. The new coach will be the fourth head coach in five football seasons as VHS searches for someone who can turn the football program around.
The Vicksburg Daily News will provide further details as we get them.
