Hundreds of kids came out to the ninth annual Malcolm Butler Camp

Over 300 kids showed up for the ninth annual Malcolm Butler Camp that was held at Vicksburg High School on Saturday.
Athletes from elementary, junior high and high school all showed their skills at the camp that was led by Butler and multiple coaches who volunteered their time.
The free event lasted from about 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. where Butler was happy to come home and give back to the youth.
“It feels good and it makes me feel good especially to see those kids who were at the very first camp and now they’re doing great things and it’s just amazing,” Butler said.
Before the long and hot day was over, the lineman and skill guys went into separate groups where they worked on 1 on 1 drills.
The lineman worked on pass rushing and pass blocking skills where they were forced to get physical.
Before the day was out, Butler left a little advice for the youth.
Butler hinted that his playing days may not be officially over and only time will tell on what is next for the former NFL star. He is a 2009 graduate of Vicksburg High School before starring at Hinds CC and the University of West Alabama.
Butler is also a two-time Super Bowl Champion and he has played for the New England Patriots, Tennessee Titans and Arizona Cardinals.
