Hwy 61 is still closed north of Warren County

Highway 61 is still closed just north of Warren County.

Last night’s storms caused massive power outages in several counties in Mississippi. Thousands remain without power today.

Power lines fell across Hwy 61 North of the Warren County line in Sharkey County just before 11:45 p.m. last night.

Sharkey County Sheriff’s Deputies closed the highway within 30 minutes of the poles falling.

Today the roadway remains closed with no indication of when it will reopen.
