I-20 to shut down this afternoon, Lee Road awaits Entergy

Update: As of 2:20 p.m. the roadway is reported to be back in service.

Interstate 20 is shutting down at 2 p.m. to string lines that were taken down during the storms over the weekend.

During last weekend’s storms, power lines fell, blocking all lanes across Interstate 20 near the 11-mile marker/Bovina.

Crews will be shutting down the area this afternoon to make repairs.

Motorists should seek an alternate route if possible to avoid stalled traffic.

Lee Road continues to be shut down, awaiting Entergy to take care of downed power lines in the area.

As of this report, there is no official estimated time of reopening traffic to Lee Road.
