I-20 West was just reopened

An accident on Interstate 20 has closed the west bound lanes by the Indiana exit since about 1:30 p.m.

An 18-wheeler hauling building materials overturned in the rain, which caused slippery road conditions. Crews worked to clear up the accident causing traffic to back up to the Bovina exit.

Traffic was still backed up at 8:30 p.m.

Traffic was  diverted up the exit ramp, across Indiana and back onto the entrance ramp to the interstate.

The crews are now packing up and leaving the scene which will allow for the roadway to reopen.

They will compete the cleanup in the morning.

The driver received minor injuries
