If you need a reason to give thanks to someone you don’t know…

Warren County firefighters train on a regular basis to keep their skill set up so they can remain qualified to help their neighbors in an emergency.

At the Vicksburg Daily News we’ve done hundreds of stories on the Warren County firefighters and what they do to keep us safe. We’ve featured several of them over the years and we will continue to do so for as long as they will let us feature them.

Here’s one more reason to praise them, with gas going over $4 a gallon everywhere, the same people who give freely of their time to keep their neighbors safe, pay for their own gasoline.

What that means is your neighbors love you enough to spend their hard earned money to put in their private vehicle and drive it to your emergency.

Just one more reason to thank our county firefighters, led by Jerry Briggs, who give their all for their community.
