In-person absentee voting deadline this Saturday
In-person absentee voting is approaching it’s deadline which is set for Saturday.
Those wishing to obtain an absentee application can do so at the City Clerk’s office in City Hall at 1401 Walnut Street from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Alternatively, an application can be mailed to you by calling 601-634-4553.
“Absentee voting is allowed for persons who are unable to go to the polls because of illness, physical disability, business or vacation plans, jury duty, military or school obligations, or jail confinement. ,” states the vicksburg.org website. “You may also vote absentee if you are caring for a sick or physically disabled person.”
A completed ballot must be delivered at the City Clerk’s Office no mater than 5 p.m. the day before the municipal election.
You may also complete the ballot in the City Clerk’s Office between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday.
