Dylan Williams

An inmate has escaped from the Madison Parish Detention Center in Louisiana.

The escapee is Dylan Williams, a 21-year-old black male, according to Deputy Brandon Wilcher. The Madison Parish Sheriff’s Department was notified at around 10 p.m. Tuesday of the escape.

Williams is 5-foot-11-inches tall and weighs approximately 130 lbs. He possibly has injuries to his hands and arms from scaling the fence at the jail. He was last seen wearing the jail’s tan inmate clothing.

Dog and horse teams have joined in the search for Williams, who is considered dangerous, although authorities do not believe he is armed. He was being held on multiple felony charges from other jurisdictions, including a carjacking in February.

If you encounter Williams, do not attempt to approach or apprehend him. Dial 911 immediately or contact the Madison Parish Sheriff’s Office at 318-574-1831 or the Tallulah Police Department at 318-574-3230.
