Isabella Spires: VDN female third and fourth grade Player of the Week

Isabella Spires led her team in points Monday to become the player of the week.

As the season draws to a close, Spires has become the key player on the Blue Crush basketball team. She put up 14 points Monday, even as her team lost to the Lady Mustangs in a close 28-22 battle. Spires plays in the third and fourth-grade league where she is also one of the lead scorers.

Spires will lead the Blue Crush out on the court in their final game against the Flashes next Monday at 5:30 p.m.

Spires is coached by Malcolm Reynolds who is the head coach of the Blue Crush.
