Isaiah Smith wanted for shooting on Speed Street

Vicksburg Police are investigating a shooting that occurred at 807 Speed St. around 7:50 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23.

Police arrived at the residence and found that Desmond Taylor, 28, of 2958 Valley St., had been shot once in the leg.

Witness told police that 17-year-old Isaiah Smith,  of 210 Meadowvale Ave., pulled up in a gold 2011 Nissan Altima. He and Taylor got into an argument. The argument escalated and resulted in Smith shooting Taylor.

Taylor was transported to Merit Health River Region Hospital where he was last listed in stable condition.

Smith is currently out on bond for another shooting. You should consider him armed and dangerous.
