Issaquena Sheriff Richard Jones loses battle with cancer

Issaquena Sheriff Richard Jones has died following a battle with cancer.

Jones lost his battle on Thursday and was confirmed by the Issaquena County dispatch. Numerous law enforcement agencies have taken to social media to express their condolences.

Chickasaw County Sheriff’s Department stated on their social media page, “Praying for Issaqueena County Sheriff’s Office. Rest in peace Sheriff Richard Jones , we have the watch from here.”

Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace stated, “Sheriff Jones was a great partner and we will miss him.”
