It’s game day for the Warren Central High School baseball team as they head to Trustmark Park to compete for the Championship. The Vikings are set to take on George County today at 4 p.m., marking the culmination of a long-awaited moment.

Under the guidance of Coach Randy Broome, WC has gained widespread respect for their recent performances, triumphing over tough opponents like Lake Cormorant, Saltillo, and Center Hill in the 6A playoffs. Sporting a
commendable 19-11 record, the team relies heavily on their three standout pitchers, Conner Watkins, Brooks Willoughby, and Maddox Lynch, who have been instrumental in their recent victories.

The Vikings boast a squad of eight seniors – Ryan Nelson, Talan Patel, Conner Watkins, Jack Esparza, Cole Autrey, Brooks Willoughby, Cade Fairly, and John Russell Myers – all
driven to conclude their high school journey as state champions.

As they strive for victory for the first time in 23 years, WC is counting on strong support from the Vicksburg community with a huge crowd expected to rally behind them at the
crucial title showdown.
