It’s not your normal fish story

On Monday, John Michael Jabour, 19 and Bryce Chapman, 18 were fishing at Muddy Bayou near Eagle Lake when Chapman hooked an Asian Carp that weighed in at 66 pounds, 1 ounce which is one pound shy of the state record.

Chapman used a double-sided hook baited with Shad.

The pair also caught several Spoon Bills, although the majority were under the legal limit of 36 inches.
