The world’s most lovable weather forecaster, Punxsutawney Phil, told the world on Thursday to prepare for six more weeks of winter.

On Feb. 2 each year, Phil rises from his burrow once a year in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, to deliver the nation’s most anticipated weather forecast.

Using highly scientific methods, the groundhog delivered his yearly prediction of six more weeks of winter.

Citing evidence of a shadow, Phil relayed the findings to Groundhog Club president Tom Dunkel who translated.

While some argue against the validity of the forecast, Phil stands firm on his prediction.
