Jackknifed 18-wheeler causes I-20 shutdown
Just after 2 p.m., Interstate 20 West became blocked due to a jackknifed 18-wheeler, between Clay Street and Indiana Avenue.
The 18-wheeler crashed along the guardrails and came to a stop jackknifed in the middle of the roadway.
No injuries were reported, however, this section of the interstate will be shut down for some time until the area can be cleared.
A fluid believed to be diesel fuel was seen on the pavement at the crash site. The roadway has been littered with debris.
The frontage road has taken much of the traffic overflow.
A second crash was reported behind the 18-wheeler. Details on this traffic report is unknown at this time.
Avoid the area if possible.
