The Vicksburg High School ninth grade boys basketball team came away with a last-minute victory over Clinton Monday night in a 45-43 win.

The Gators were trailing 43-42 before Jaylin Jackson hit the game winning 3-pointer. He finished the game with 11 points, helping the Gators defeat the Clinton Arrows.

Tyler Henderson and Keelan Bass also stepped up for Vicksburg in the win. Bass finished with 6 points while Henderson dropped 8 points.

The Gators managed to get a double-digit lead against the Arrows but Clinton made its way back into the game. The Arrows couldn’t hold on to their lead once Jackson hit the game winning shot.

The Gators remain undefeated with an 11-0 record under coach Julius Williams.
