Jackson State University wins “Fanraiser Challenge” against Southern University

Jackson State University has won the “10K in 10 Days Fanraiser Challenge” against Southern University for the third consecutive time. The JSU Tigers partnered with the Jackson United Way to raise $6,322.90. Southern University partnered with Capital Area United Way in Baton Rouge, LA, to raise $1,275. Together, both universities raised a combined $7,597.90.

“I would like to thank everyone who contributed to this fundraiser. We believe that JSU builds community. We are here to be a form of support to those in need, and we aim to instill the spirit of service in every student who enters our doors,” said Thomas K. Hudson, president of JSU.

All proceeds will go to the Capital Area United Way disaster recovery fund, which provides assistance to families and communities in the Baton Rouge area impacted by Hurricane Ida.
