Jackson State’s Warren Newman signs a deal with the CFL
Jackson State University football player Warren Newman has now signed a deal with Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League.
Newman had 48 receptions this season for JSU along with 346 receiving yards as his team won the SWAC title under head coach Deion Sanders. He was also second in the SWAC in punt returns by averaging 16.4 yards each return.
Warren is one a few players in the SWAC to move on to play professional football after the 2021 season.
