James Robert “Robbie” Lynch Jr., 1956 – 2019

James Robert “Robbie” Lynch Jr. died on Friday, Dec. 13, 2019. He was 63.

Robbie was born in Brookhaven, Miss., but has spent the majority of his life in Sturgis, Ky., and Port Gibson, Miss. He was an Honorary Kentucky Colonel, and also really enjoyed music.

Robbie is preceded in death by his parents, James Robert Lynch, Sr., and Mary Lee Phillips, his paternal grandparents; James Ishmael Lynch and Elizabeth Lee Smith Lynch, and his maternal grandparents; Willie Lee Phillips and Mary Pearl Starnes Phillips.

He is survived by his four sisters; Donna L. Pate (Troy), Katherine S. Billington, Kim Havenar, and Stephanie Lynch, his brother Ronnie Lynch, numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and also a number of aunts and uncles.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2019, at the Glenwood Funeral Home in Port Gibson at 9 a.m. with a funeral service following immediately after at 11 a.m. Burial will follow the funeral service in Wintergreen Cemetery in Port Gibson.

A thanks is given from the family to Robbie’s neighbors and friends from Hynum Road in Port Gibson for always watching out for their loved one. They greatly appreciated it.
