Jefferson County High School defeated Wingfield on Friday

Jefferson County High School secured a dominant win, defeating their opponent 83-30 on Friday night.
“It was just one of those nights where everything clicked in all phases of the game,” JC Head Coach Roderick Holmes remarked. “We have some guys who are now beginning to assume leadership roles and manage how others prepare for games. Scoring that many points wasn’t a sign of disrespect towards our opponent.”
The Tigers surged ahead with a 27-8 lead in the first quarter, extending their advantage to a whopping 69-14 by halftime. On the defensive end, Jaekwon Collins Jr. was a standout, registering seven tackles, forcing a fumble, recovering another, deflecting three passes, and recording a sack. Jermall Williams Jr. also put in a strong performance, tallying seven tackles, three sacks, and a forced fumble.
JC maintained their commanding lead in the second half and improved their season record to 2-0. Next, the Tigers will host Crystal Springs on Friday.
