Joann Nevels Parker, 1949 – 2020

Joann Nevels Parker passed away Sunday, March 22, 2020. She was 71 years old.

Joann was a lifelong resident of Eagle Lake Community where she was a very active member of Eagle Lake Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents Evelyn Francis Jones, Lloyd (Munch) Nevels, Sr., and Mary Lou Gladwell; her first husband Charles F. Ashley; brothers Edward Burton, Billy Nevels and Perry Nevels; sisters Marie Erwin, Gracie Dill and Dinna Simmons.

She is survived by her husband Willie Clifton (Bill) Parker; daughters Trisha Anderson (William) and Kim Comfort (Jay); son Charles F. (Chuck) Ashley (Michelle); sisters Virginia Carr, Ruthie Nevels, Annie Allison and Susie Marichie; brothers Richard Nevels, Albert Petters and Roy Petters; grandchildren Randy Banks, Julianne Comfort, Nick Comfort, Tim Comfort, Cal (Kaitlyn) Anderson, Logan Anderson, Gage Ashley, Kate Ashley, Parker Ashley, Corbin French,  Charlsi French and Bryce Nicholes; great-grandchildren Kayla Bank, Troy Banks and Keaton Anderson.

A private family graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 25, in Winter Green Cemetery with Bro. Lane Varner officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Eagle Lake Baptist Church or Winter Green Cemetery.
