Vicksburg native, Joe Johnson Jr., found the end zone on Sunday playing for Virginia Union University.

During a resounding 45-13 victory over Morehouse College in the Black College Football Hall of Fame Classic, Johnson hauled in a 21-yard touchdown pass.

A Vicksburg High School alumnus, Johnson previously shined as a quarterback. Following his high school career, he played at Coahoma CC and later at the University of West Alabama.

Next up, VUU will hit the road to face Shaw University on Saturday.
