John and his grocery celebrate their 90th

John Mauck, well-known as the proprietor of John’s Grocery, is celebrating his 90th birthday today.

Mauck acquired the store from the Buck family who built the store in 1931, the same year he was born. It continues to be a family operation, with his son Randall and granddaughter Katie handing the duties.

The still spry elder businessman still drops in to make sure his loyal customers are getting the hometown service they have had for decades.
