John “Johnny” William Hartley, 1957 – 2023

John “Johnny” William Hartley passed away on Friday, June 23, 2023. He was born on May 10, 1957, in Vicksburg, MS. He was 66 years old. He was a member of Goat Hill hunting club. Johnny enjoyed hunting, fishing and sitting around and listening to music. He was a family man. He loved his family and babygirl Katie.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald Hartley and Kenna Hartley Mills; brother, Russell Hartley, Sr.

He is survived by his wife Betty Hartley; sons, Paul Ludwig (Robin), John VanNorman (Jeanna), Dean Palmer; daughters, Kasee Terrell (John), Jeanette Brooks (Charles); his puppy, Katie (Babygirl); brother, Jimmy Hartley (Debra); sisters, Paula Hartley McQueen (Neil), Graylyn Mills Crotwell (Ted), Terri Mills Nettles, eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Nick Brooks, CJ Brooks, Michael Brooks, Hayden Brooks, Charles Ray Brooks, Brandon Palmer, Big John Moorehead and Larry Hartley. Honorary pallbearers will be Neal McQueen, Tony Ainsworth, Dean Palmer, Judy Brown, Jake Page and Wilda Williams.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at Glenwood Funeral Home with Rev. Ted Crotwell, Jr. officiating the service. Visitation will be 9:00 A.M. till the hour of the service. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
