John P. Mauck, 1931-2022

John P. Mauck, 91, of Vicksburg, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 31, 2022.

He was born in Phillips, MS and made his home in Vicksburg. He was a beloved father and devoted husband. He was a veteran serving in the United States Marine Corps serving in the Korean War and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was owner and operator of John’s Grocery along with his son Randall for 50 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Loraine Davis Mauck; his wife, Johnnie Mauck and a brother and a sister.

Survivors include his son, Randall Mauck of Vicksburg; his daughter, Carolyn (Clyde) Mauck Kilgore of Edwards, MS; grandchildren, John Jordan, Ray (Lindsey) Jordan, Michael (Hope) Jordan, Katie White and Kris Windham; numerous great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Glenwood Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Friday, June 3, 2022, with Rev. Jackie Baines officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be John Jordan, Ray Jordan, Michael Jordan, Coleman Jordan, John Austin White and Kris Windham.

Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Blush, M.L. Hallman and Jimmy Veazey.
