Johnson and Reid found guilty; to be sentenced Oct. 31

Frederick Johnson and Jimmy Dale Reid

Fredrick Johnson was found guilty of statutory rape Oct. 18. His victim was under the age of 14.

Johnson is facing life in prison, and he will be sentenced Oct. 31. He was indicted July 25, 2017.

This case was prosecuted by Branan Southerland and Michael Warren. Lead investigator was Stacy Rollison.

Jimmy Dale Reid was found guilty Oct. 15 on three counts of possession of contraband in a correctional facility.

Reid was indicted Sept. 18, 2018, and he will be sentenced Oct. 31 at 2 p.m. by Ninth District Circuit Judge Toni Walker Terrett. As a habitual offender he is facing 15 years on each count for a total of 45 years.

Michael Warren and Branan Southerland prosecuted this case. Stacy Rollison was the investigator along with Chris Satcher in the District Attorney’s Office.
