Johnson named as head coach of Mississippi Delta CC

Former Vicksburg High School football coach Tavares Johnson, Sr. has been named as the new head football coach of Mississippi Delta Community College.
MDCC made the announcement on Thursday where they welcomed Johnson to the Trojan family.
Johnson is mostly known for leading East Side High School to multiple winning seasons before heading to Vicksburg High School. He recently coached at Hollandale Simmons where he led he team to the state championship last season.
Johnson is a graduate of Alcorn State University and has been coaching for over 20 years.
