Joice Ann Buchanan, 1953-2023

Joice Ann Buchanan was born August 6, 1953, to the late Manuel and Olivia Bland.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Lee Buchanan; two brothers, Huey and Aaron Curtis; and two sisters, Juton “Tiny” Miller and Bessie “Betty” James.

Joice leaves to cherish her memory, two children, Manuel Leal Buchanan of Vicksburg and Olivia Bernice Welch (Edward) of Fort Campbell, TN; one sister, Ruth Bland of Vicksburg; one brother, Manuel Bland III (Lilly) of Vicksburg; eight grandchildren, Tiaundra Brown, Cameron Young, Raven Buchanan, Carmen Young, Manuel Buchanan, Jr., Mikyran Buchanan, Acauri Buchanan, and Jordan Washington; two bonus children, Craig Buchanan and Renee Bell (Kenneth); and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Joice Ann Buchanan on September 2, 2023, 2:00 PM at Greater Rose Hill Baptist Church, 683 Stenson Road, Vicksburg, MS .

Visitation will be held at C J Williams Mortuary Services, 4310 Halls Ferry Road, Vicksburg, MS on September 1, 2023 from 1:00 – 6:00 PM with family present from 5:00 – 6:00 PM.

Joice Ann Buchanan transitioned on August 23, 2023 at the age of 70.
