Joseph “Joe” Glenn Redditt, Sr., 1956 – 2022

Joseph “Joe” Glenn Redditt, Sr. age 65 departed his earthly home on Saturday, Feb. 26, to join our Heavenly Fathers Home.

Joe was born July 16, 1956, in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Joe lived his entire life in Oak Ridge, Mississippi. He was an avid outdoors man. He loved spending time at Pheonix Hunting Club, Outcast Hunting Club, He was a member of Redfield Hunting Club where he served as president. His most cherished times were spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild and hunting and fishing. He was a self-employed contractor for 45 years.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents E.L. and Ruby Redditt; his brothers James Keen, Pete Keen, Roger Redditt, Bill Redditt, Alton Redditt, and sister Laverne Redditt; a grandson Mason Cummings.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years Carolyn Pettway Redditt; son Joseph Glenn Redditt, Jr. (Kristy); daughter Dana Nicole Redditt (Cody); brother Dan Redditt (Rhonda); sister Jean Redditt Campbell (Tom); four granddaughters, Kirsten Bruce (Timmy), Jacie Redditt (Corbin), Abby Smith (Austin), and Emma Redditt (Logan); two grandsons, Eli Smith and Kurt Tippen (Destiny); and 1 great-granddaughter Laken Grace Hart.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, Mar. 1 at 1 p.m. in Glenwood Funeral home Chapel with visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Redditt Cemetry. Pastor Emily Williams will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Charles Pettway, David Porter, Jeff Payden, Bert Burton, Edward Herring, Frank Hilderbrand, and David Lyons. Honorary pallbearers will be Lt. Colonel Coody, D.D. Martin, Euylas Burton, Ray Bufkin, Herman Thomas, Cody Hollowell, Phil Hilderbrand, Paul Lungrin, Sr., Glen Worthy, Jessie Brent, Mike Redditt, George Ameen, Eric Pettway, and Hank Hearn.
