Kenneth Lydell Blue, Sr., 1959 – 2023

Kenneth Lydell Blue, Sr., 63, affectionately called “Squeaky”, was born on October 17, 1959, to the late Charles and Sadie Blue in Vicksburg, MS.

On Wednesday, July 19, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones, Kenneth peacefully transitioned to his eternal home in glory.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Archie and Abby Blue, and Arthur and Mammie Lee Porter; and two brothers, Carl Blue and Charles Archie Blue, Jr.

Kenneth’s memories will be cherished by his wife, Monta Wells Blue of Chattanooga, TN; four daughters, Daphanie Jenkins, Demetra Butler, and Neshekia Wells, all of Vicksburg, MS, and Stephanie (Roger) Blue of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; four sons, Michael Blue and Kenneth Lydell (Deidre) Blue, Jr., both of Chattanooga, TN, Avery (Kristen) Blue of Knoxville, TN, and Antonio (Roxanne) Wells of Dallas, TX; a sister, Debra (Don) Smith of Vicksburg, MS; a brother, Antonio (Renee) Blue of Chicago, IL; nineteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; aunts, including matriarch of the family, Helen “T-Mama” Johnson, Linda Johnson, and Beverly Johnson of Vicksburg, MS, and Mildred Scott of Oregon; an uncle, Dean Blue of Vicksburg, MS; special sisters-in-law, Tara Blue of Chattanooga, TN, Peggy Franklin, Callie Williams, and Virginia Wells, all of Vicksburg, MS, and Marlessa Wells of Dallas, TX; four brothers-in-law, Don Smith, Aaron Wells, and Henry Williams, all of Vicksburg, MS, and Alphonse Wells, Jr., of Dallas, TX; and a host of family, friends, and other relatives including the Porter and Blue families.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Kenneth Lydell Blue, Sr on July 30, 2023, 2:00 PM at Greater Grove Street M. B. Church, 2715 Alcorn Dr, Vicksburg, MS .
