Kim Windom named as St. Aloysius new basketball head coach
St. Aloysius High school has named Kim Windom as their new varsity boy’s basketball head coach.
“I am looking forward to a new learning experience and I’m very enthusiastic about developing these young men and a winning program,” Windom said in a school statement.
The announcement was made on Tuesday that Windom will take over the team effective immediately.
“We are very happy to have him at St. Aloysius and we’re sure he will do some great things with our program,” St. Aloysius Athletics Director Bubba Nettles said.
Windom, who recently retired, served as Port Gibson High School’s head coach for over two decades where he was selected to coach in the Mississippi/Alabama All-Star Game on multiple occasions. He was also selected as the district’s Coach of the Year five times due to his team’s great performances over the years including a “Big House”appearance in 2004.
Windom will now take over the Flashes’ program that went to the first round of the playoffs in the 2021-2022 season.
