Kitchen fire at Cracker Barrel

At the 7:27 a.m. Tuesday, the Vicksburg Fire Department was dispatched to Cracker Barrel at 4001 South Frontage Road, as the grill was reportedly on fire.

Vicksburg Police arrived first and ensured that all employees and guests were immediately evacuated.

Vicksburg Fire Chief Craig Danczyk says the commercial fire suppression system activated and almost completely extinguished the blaze.

Engine 2, Ladder 3, Rescue along with Battalion 1 responded. Firefighters were on the scene for less than 30 minutes.

There is no word at this time on whether this will affect restaurant operations.
